Zagori Autumn Photography Workshop
Aristi, November 2-5, 2019

Zagori is one of the most photogenic places in Greece and Europe. With its unique terrain, wide range of altitude (from 400 to almost 2500 meters above sea level), exceptional biodiversity and magnificent architectural heritage, the photographic exploration of Zagori’s 1000 km2 could take a lifetime.

Photographer Costas Zissis guides this 4-day workshop starting November 2nd to November 5th,  in majestic autumn Zagori landscape. We will go chasing for the best autumn photographic opportunities in Western and Central Zagori, both, in natural settings and in man-made environment. Workshop will be offered in English language.

For best results, participants are recommended to use a camera with manual settings and RAW format capabilities, DSLR or Mirrorless ILC. However, this is not essential, as modern smartphones, with or without  lens accessories, offer some advanced photographic capabilities. In this case, instead of the phone’s native camera app it is recommended to use an application with manual, advanced settings, such as Bacon Camera  for Android phones. Carrying a tripod is also advised, as it will help guests to create better quality images, especially when using long lenses or shooting in low light and at the same time allows higher control over framing and composition.

Τhere will be an evening gathering on every day basis at ZISSIS hotel, Aristi, for  reviewing of the photographs taken by guests during the tour and an open discussion about photography, mostly on shooting and processing. Also, the same hotel will be our every day starting point, in order to ensure a minimal use of vehicles and the least environmental impact, through car sharing or by using a van service.

At the photographer’s website there are several small galleries of his work on the area, with a high number of Zagori autumn photographs:
